Polyurethane Varnish

SPECIFICATION

• Type : Modified urethane finish 
• Flash Point :  38 oC
• Consistency : Ready for use
• Thinner : Uniro Mineral Turpentine
• Spreading Rate : 170 – 180 Sq.ft/ Litre ( 40 µ). (depends on the wood and wood grain)

DRYING TIME ( at 32 oC )

• Touch Dry – 1 Hour
• Hard Dry – 3 Hours
• Overcoating – 5 Hours

SURFACE PREPARATION

All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned prior to the application. Eliminate oil, dirt, loose particles and any foreign matter.  The surface should be dust-free and dry. 

If the wood is previously varnished, it should be cleaned and sanded with fine sanding paper to make a suitable surface for the subsequent coats of varnish.

The undercoat should be dry (Sanding Sealer). 

For new wood, apply Uniro wood preservative Clear for better protection.

PREPARATION OF PAINT

1. Stir well so that it is uniformly mixed.
2. Avoid excessive thinning.

APPLICATION

1. Can be applied by brush, roller or spray and 2-3 coats are recommended.
2. Provide adequate ventilation during the application.
3. Sand papering between the coats is recommended.
4. In case of repainting, the old paint film should be sanded with sandpaper in order to get excellent inter-coat adhesion

IMPORTANT

Clean the equipment and brushes with Uniro Mineral Turpentine after use. Ensure good ventilation for drying. Keep containers tightly closed after use.
